On opening day, the Sharjah Police team defeated Al Thiqah Club for Disabled (Team A) 6–1 in a match noted for high sportsmanship and positive competition.

Meanwhile, Al Qasimia University secured an 8–1 victory over the Sharjah Asset Management team, asserting a strong start in the tournament.
