The meeting reviewed ways to advance trade cooperation between the UAE and the United States and strengthen partnerships in priority sectors, particularly advanced technology and artificial intelligence, reflecting the depth of their strategic relations.
His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Howard Lutnick discussed enhancing joint cooperation within the framework of Pax Silica, a US-led international initiative aimed at building secure, resilient, and innovation-driven supply chains for technologies essential to the AI era, especially silicon and critical minerals that support chips, advanced computing, and high-tech systems.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed emphasised that the United States is a key strategic partner in the UAE’s path toward comprehensive and sustainable development, noting that economic and trade cooperation is witnessing qualitative growth that reflects the strength of longstanding ties. He also expressed the UAE’s aspiration to continue joint efforts to open new avenues of cooperation that serve shared interests and support sustainable prosperity for both nations.
The meeting was attended by Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, Minister of State, and Yousef Manea Al Otaiba, UAE Ambassador to the United States.
