SSC turns Kalba Beach Games to Sports Festival

The Council emphasised the importance of engaging government departments and institutions in Kalba to organise sporting competitions, while also deciding to extend the festival’s duration with a stronger focus on community sports and social activities to reinforce its identity as an inclusive sports platform.

The meeting was held at the Council’s headquarters, with Dr Abdullah bin Abdulrahman bin Sultan, Vice Chairman, and board members present.

At the start of the session, the Chairman congratulated Hanan Al Mahmoud, Board Member, on the successful organisation of the eighth edition of the Arab Women Sports Tournament, in her capacity as Vice Chairperson of the Sharjah Womens Sports and of the Higher Organising Committee of the tournament.

The board reviewed all agenda items, most notably a report from Dr Abdullah bin Meleih on the draft law regulating the Council and an update from Dr Abdullah bin Abdulrahman bin Sultan on developments in the “Referee” programme.
