Sharjah 24: The spirit of Ramadan is bringing a noticeable boost to commercial life in Sharjah’s central region, with a series of incentives aimed at supporting local traders and encouraging shoppers to return to traditional markets.

Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadhi, Director-General of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, announced the launch of a package of cash and in-kind prizes, including a car as the grand prize at both “Layali Al Dhaid” and “Layali Filli”. The initiatives form part of the wider Sharjah Ramadan Festival and are designed to stimulate purchasing activity at Souq Sharie Al Dhaid and Souq Filli.

Speaking to Sharjah 24, Al Awadhi said the promotional campaign offers direct support to participating retailers. Shoppers automatically enter a draw for the grand prize when they spend Dh100 at any of the participating outlets in the two markets, rewarding customers and driving footfall to the area.

He added that the Chamber is also organising a series of interactive competitions in collaboration with the Al Wusta Channel in Dhaid, which is affiliated with the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority. The contests feature instant cash and in-kind prizes for viewers and visitors alike, adding to the festive atmosphere and reinforcing the celebratory mood across the central region.
