Kuwait intercepts hostile missiles and drone in its airspace

According to the Kuwait News Agency, Colonel Saud Al Atwan, official spokesperson for the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defence, stated that air defence systems detected two hostile ballistic missiles in the southern part of the country.

He confirmed that the missiles were successfully intercepted and destroyed, along with a hostile drone that was also neutralised by air defence systems.

Armed forces on high alert

Colonel Al Atwan confirmed that the Kuwaiti Armed Forces stay on high alert and are fully prepared to face any threats that could attempt to undermine the country’s security.

He emphasised that the armed forces will persist in taking all necessary measures to defend Kuwait’s sovereignty, security, and stability, whilst safeguarding its national interests and capacities.
