Sharjah 24: As part of the fifth edition of "Ramadaniyat Rub' Qarn," organised by Sharjah Youth, affiliated to the Rub' Qarn Foundation for developing Future Leaders and Innovators, affiliated with the Sharjah Family and Community Council, Sharjah Youth members enlivened the nights of the holy month of Ramadan with reverent recitations during Taraweeh prayers in several mosques across the Emirate of Sharjah.

The initiative, titled "The Young Imam," is held in cooperation with the Sharjah Department of Islamic Affairs, honouring members who have memorised the Holy Quran. This step contributes to boosting their self-confidence and strengthening their connection to the Holy Quran.

The initiative reflects the Emirate of Sharjah's vision of nurturing its youth and presenting a shining example of young people connected to the Holy Quran and authentic Islamic values. It also embodies the commitment of Sharjah Youth and the Sharjah Department of Islamic Affairs to empowering young people and providing them with genuine opportunities to establish a positive presence in society, within a comprehensive framework dedicated to preparing a generation aware of its religious values and Islamic identity.

Supporting young Quranic voices

The initiative aims to support young Quranic voices, refine participants' skills in reciting the Holy Quran, and provide them with valuable practical experience in leading prayers in mosques, in a spiritual atmosphere that resonates with the sanctity of the holy month. The initiative saw the participation of a group of Sharjah Youth members who led the Taraweeh prayers in several mosques across the emirate.

Salem Ismail Al-Buraimi led the prayers at the Martyr Yousef Al-Obaidli Mosque in the Al-Tarfa area, while Hamad Mohammed Ibrahim led the prayers at the Khor Kalba Mosque. Zayed Abdullah Al-Qaidi also led the prayers at the same mosque, and Obaid Rashid Al-Shamsi led the prayers at the Imam Al-Nisa'i Mosque in the Al-Juraina area.

Strengthening social solidarity and family bonds

This scene, which reflects the Emirate of Sharjah's established approach to nurturing youth and developing their talents in various fields, especially serving the Holy Quran, is a shining example of the Young Imams initiative during Ramadan nights, where the spiritual atmosphere blends with their melodious voices and reverent recitations. It is worth noting that Sharjah Youth aims, through its Ramadaniyat Rub' Qarn, to make the best use of its members’ time, instill many values in them, and stimulate their creative energies, in addition to quality community initiatives that contribute to strengthening social solidarity and family bonds, as well as involving them in rich Ramadan activities that contribute to spreading the atmosphere of faith, strengthening family ties, and deepening the concepts of compassion and human communication.
