UAE and Serbia leaders discuss regional security and solidarity

Sharjah24/WAM: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Excellency Aleksandar Vučić, President of Serbia, held a phone call to discuss regional developments, focusing on the recent military escalation and its impact on regional security and stability.

During the call, Vučić condemned the terrorist attack on the UAE Consulate General in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, describing it as a breach of international norms protecting diplomatic missions and a dangerous escalation threatening the safety of diplomatic personnel. He also reaffirmed Serbia’s full solidarity with the UAE in safeguarding its security, territorial integrity, and citizens.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed expressed gratitude for Serbia’s support. Both leaders emphasised the need for an immediate halt to escalatory actions and stressed the importance of serious dialogue and diplomacy to maintain regional security and prevent further crises.
