Sharjah24/WAM: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a phone call today from His Excellency Micheál Martin, Prime Minister of Ireland, to discuss the regional situation amid ongoing military and security developments and their implications for regional and international stability.
During the call, Prime Minister Martin condemned the Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and other countries in the region, describing them as violations of international law and the UN Charter. He also reaffirmed Ireland’s solidarity with the UAE in protecting its sovereignty, security, and stability, and condemned the attack on the UAE Consulate General in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, highlighting its breach of international norms safeguarding diplomatic missions.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed thanked Martin for Ireland’s support. Both leaders emphasised the need for an immediate halt to military escalation and stressed the importance of dialogue and diplomatic solutions to maintain peace and security in the region.
