UAE air defences engage three ballistic missiles, eight UAVs

Sharjah 24: The Ministry of Defence announced that the UAE air defence systems, on Saturday (21 March 2026), engaged three ballistic missiles and eight UAVs launched from Iran.

The Ministry of Defence confirmed that the sounds heard across various parts of the country are the result of air defense systems intercepting ballistic missiles, and fighter jets targeting UAVs and cruise missiles.
