The weapons that could be redirected include air defense interceptor missiles purchased through a NATO initiative launched last year, under which partner countries provide US arms for Kyiv.
The consideration comes as US military operations in the Middle East intensify. Admiral Brad Cooper, head of US Central Command, said on Wednesday that over 10,000 targets inside Iran had been hit, with the goal of limiting Iran’s ability to project power outside its borders.

A NATO official confirmed that alliance members and partners continue to contribute to the Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List (PURL), which funds the supply of US arms to Kyiv. The official emphasized that equipment is "continuously flowing into Ukraine" and pledged contributions so far amount to several billion U.S. dollars, with more expected.
Neither the Pentagon nor the US State Department immediately responded to requests for comment on the report.
