Emirati horses shine at Arabian Horse Tour in Muscat

Sharjah 24: Horses representing the United Arab Emirates achieved remarkable success at the third stage of the Arabian Horse Tour in Muscat, winning a total of eight medals against strong international competition

Leading the UAE contingent was Al Quoz Stables. The general manager and director general of Dubai Stud highlighted that the results reflect the quality and progress of Dubai Stud’s breeding programme. Dubai Stud secured three medals, including two golds and one silver. The bay mare De Najlaa won the Fillies Championship, while the stallion De Shahar took top honours in the Stallions Championship. The silver medal was earned by De Rawaa, who placed second in the Yearling Fillies category.

Al Ariyam Stables secures three medals

Close behind was Al Ariyam Stables, which won three medals across different categories. Al Ariyam Harba claimed gold in the Yearling Fillies category, Al Ariyam Atab took silver in the Mares Championship, and Al Ariyam Shaklan earned bronze in the Stallions division.

Ajman and Amara Stables add to UAE success

Ajman Stud celebrated victory in the Yearling Colts category with Fayed taking the gold medal. Additionally, Amara Stables contributed a bronze for ES Ghanim in the same category.

Officials praise UAE breeding programmes

Engineer Mohammed Al Tuwaijri, General Manager of Dubai Stud, said the results reflect the strength of Dubai Stud’s breeding program and the broader progress of Emirati Arabian horses. He emphasized that the Arabian Horse Tour serves as a strong platform, matching the significant development in local equine production.

Abdulaziz Al Marzouqi, Executive Director of Dubai Stud, noted that the Muscat leg of the tour met expectations, showcasing intense competition among some of the world’s finest Arabian horses.
