Expo Sharjah commenced its Q1 agenda with SteelFab 2026, the largest trade show for metalworking and steel fabrication in the MENA region, hosting over 350 exhibitors representing more than 600 leading local and international brands. Spanning 25,000 square metres, the exhibition marked a milestone as the first to adopt fully integrated, AI-powered digital technologies.
This year’s edition introduced AetherEx, a digital twin platform enabling exhibitors to maintain visibility, showcase products, and engage with global audiences beyond the physical event. The platform supports the creation of sustainable virtual pavilions using interactive formats.
SteelFab 2026 featured live demonstrations of cutting-edge innovations, including cost-efficient laser systems, CNC machinery, and AI-powered robots designed for complex steel manufacturing processes.
In line with its globl strategy, Expo Centre Sharjah strengthened cooperation with leading exhibition organisers such as Germany’s Messe Essen. Discussions during the event focused on developing smart solutions, enhancing knowledge transfer, and supporting technology localisation in the steel sector.
The Centre also held high-level meetings with industry partners to exchange best practices and attract more international events to Sharjah, boosting the emirate’s global competitiveness.
His Excellency Abdallah Sultan Al Owais reaffirmed the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s commitment to supporting Expo Centre Sharjah through strategic investments in infrastructure and smart technologies, aimed at strengthening the emirate’s economic diversification and global partnerships.
His Excellency Saif Mohammed Al Midfa noted that the Centre’s strong Q1 performance reflects its flexible model, integrating advanced technologies such as AI and digital twins to enhance exhibitor and visitor experiences. He added that the Centre continues to adapt to evolving economic trends through a diversified event portfolio.
During Q1, Expo Centre Sharjah hosted the Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition “ACRES 2026,” featuring over 120 entities and more than 200 new property projects across various sectors. The event also introduced Sharjah’s first escrow account system to enhance transparency and investor confidence.
Visitors benefited from government incentives, including a 50% reduction in real estate registration fees for transactions conducted during the exhibition.
The seventh edition of the Jewels of Emirates Show 2026 drew significant visitor turnout, featuring over 180 exhibitors and more than 500 brands. The exhibition introduced “The Luxury Pavilion” and hosted the second edition of the Sharjah Pearls Exhibition, celebrating the UAE’s maritime heritage.
Ramadan Nights 2026 achieved strong success, attracting over 150,000 visitors in just 13 days. The event featured more than 210 exhibitors and over 700 brands, offering major discounts and combining retail with cultural and entertainment experiences.
Expo Centre Sharjah extended its activities to the Central and Eastern regions, hosting the Al Dhaid Agricultural Exhibition and supporting events at Expo Khorfakkan focused on empowering local entrepreneurs and productive families.
Expo Centre Sharjah is preparing to host a diverse range of upcoming exhibitions, including seasonal shopping festivals, furniture and jewellery shows, and specialised events in sectors such as automotive, industry, asset management, and future mobility, alongside cultural and knowledge-based exhibitions.
