Sharjah24: Abu Dhabi Police announced the arrest of 375 individuals of various nationalities on charges of filming different locations and circulating and publishing misleading information via social media platforms related to current events. They have been referred to the Public Prosecution to take legal action against them in accordance with applicable laws.

The police affirmed their commitment to enhancing security and safety in cooperation with relevant authorities across the emirate, stressing that such practices constitute a clear violation of the country’s laws and regulations aimed at protecting society and preserving its security and stability.

Abu Dhabi Police stated that despite repeated warnings and alerts, some individuals have continued to violate instructions. Accordingly, the competent authorities will not hesitate to take strict legal action against anyone proven to be involved in spreading fear or stirring public opinion, which is a punishable offense under the law.

They urged the public to verify the accuracy and credibility of information before sharing it, rely on official sources, and avoid spreading rumours or reposting unverified news.

The police also highlighted the importance of community partnership in enhancing public safety, noting that public awareness and adherence to laws play a significant role in protecting lives and property and in maintaining a safe and stable environment for all members of society.
