Sharjah24: Al Qasimia University has inaugurated two new Quran memorisation schools in the Senegal, located in the cities of Touba and Sagatta. The opening was attended by Jamal Salem Al Tarifi, President of the university, and Saeed Hamdan Al Naqbi, UAE Ambassador to Senegal, along with officials and community and religious figures.

The university delegation included Dr Zakaria Nouh and Omar Numan Al Ali, members of the Quran Schools Committee, as part of efforts to oversee and support the university’s initiatives across Africa.

Initiative aligned with Sharjah Ruler’s vision

The project comes in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, Founder of the university, aimed at supporting Quran education, promoting Islamic teachings, and reinforcing moderate values in African societies.

The two schools aim to provide a specialised educational environment for Quran memorisation and the study of its sciences, helping to prepare a generation committed to Islamic values while promoting moderation and balance.

Through such initiatives, the university also seeks to engage its graduates as instructors and supervisors in these schools, which operate under licensed educational centres overseen by the university in several African countries.
