Fatima bint Mubarak praises Zayed Military University model

Sharjah 24: Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, “Mother of the Nation,” Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, affirmed that Zayed Military University represents an advanced national model that combines military discipline with modern academic education. She said it enhances the ability of UAE youth to face future challenges with confidence and competence.

Building leadership through integrated training

She stated that the university works to refine national leadership skills by providing a comprehensive educational and disciplinary environment. This approach blends field military training with in-depth academic knowledge, preparing generations of male and female officers capable of decision-making and taking responsibility.

“Year of the Family” strengthens national values

In an interview with the Zayed Military University newspaper, Sheikha Fatima highlighted that the announcement by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan declaring 2026 as the “Year of the Family” offers an opportunity to strengthen integration between the family, educational institutions, and military establishments. She noted this contributes to building a generation grounded in national values, responsibility, and belonging, where serving the nation is seen as a shared duty and honour.

Empowering women starts at home

She also emphasised that empowering girls begins at home, through encouragement and trust instilled from an early age. This, she said, helps raise confident women who believe in their ability to contribute to protecting and building the nation.
