LEED, an internationally recognised green building certification system developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), is one of the world’s leading certifications in sustainable building practices. It is awarded to organisations that meet criteria including energy efficiency, water resource management, indoor environmental quality, sustainable design, and reduced carbon emissions.
Abdulaziz Al Mulla, Director-General of the FTA, said that obtaining this certification reflects the Authority’s efforts to create a sustainable and efficient work environment through best environmental practices. He noted that the Gold rating demonstrates an integrated approach to sustainability in line with the UAE’s national objectives.
He added that the certification recognises the efforts of the Administrative Affairs and Information Technology teams, whose work reflects the commitment of FTA employees to advancing institutional performance and sustainability goals.
