The rocket lifted off at 12:33 pm Beijing time from the Dongfeng commercial space innovation pilot zone in northwest China, successfully placing the satellites into their designated orbits.
The mission marked the 13th flight of the Lijian-1 carrier rocket and the 14th launch overall for the Lijian series. So far, the series has successfully deployed 100 satellites into space, with the total payload mass exceeding 18 tonnes.
Developed by CAS Space, the Lijian-1 is a solid-fuel carrier rocket designed with rapid-response capabilities. The company said the rocket uses a universal platform-based design, allowing flexible adaptation between the rocket system and various satellite missions.
Among the satellites launched was the Tianyan-27 satellite, also known as Youxi, which is equipped with a space display screen, a space surveillance camera, an infrared camera, and an onboard intelligent processing payload.
The satellite will conduct in-orbit tests for new infrared remote sensing technologies, as well as carry out missions related to space display functions, selfie-taking in orbit, and intelligent data processing.
