Sharjah 24: Sharjah Media City (Shams) announced a new show from the Shams Comedy Club on June 13, 2026, as part of its ongoing efforts to support local comedic talent and provide a creative platform for young content creators and artists to showcase their work to the public.

The show will feature live comedy segments presented by Emirati stand-up comedy stars Ali Saleh (Bin Suwailih), Ahmed Saif, and Ahmed Osama, in an interactive atmosphere that blends entertainment with social commentary in a purposeful comedic style, reflecting everyday life issues and situations with a contemporary, youthful spirit.

Stand-up comedy is a creative art form that contributes to conveying awareness messages and promoting positive values in a way that resonates with the audience. It also provides a space for creative expression and the creation of meaningful entertainment content that keeps pace with developments in the media and arts landscape.

Supporting modern creative art

In this context, Maha Al Mansour, Media Development Executive at Shams, stated: “At Shams, we are committed to supporting modern creative arts and providing genuine platforms for local talent. We believe that purposeful comedy has a significant positive impact on society through its ability to combine entertainment and awareness in an innovative and accessible way for diverse audiences.”

She added: “Through the Shams Comedy Club, we aim to promote this art form and present meaningful comedy performances that support and encourage young talent to create content that reflects the spirit of Emirati society, within an environment that nurtures talent and provides a space for expression and development.”

Shams invites the public and those interested in stand-up comedy to purchase tickets for the event via the website.
