Brigadier General Yousef Obaid Harmool Al Shamsi, Director General of the Sharjah Civil Defence Authority, and Brigadier General Saeed Obaid Rashid Al Suwaidi, Director of the Authority, recognised Jaber Dawood Suleiman from Sharjah Municipality, along with Raheem Marwan and Adel Ali Shawal from Al Marwan Contracting Company.
The recognition was awarded in appreciation of their positive cooperation and immediate response during fire incidents. Their awareness, quick action and prompt intervention contributed to supporting civil defence teams and reducing the impact of the incidents, highlighting the importance of community involvement in assisting specialist authorities and demonstrating the value of preparedness and awareness during emergencies.
Brigadier General Yousef Obaid Harmool Al Shamsi said the authority is committed to recognising positive examples that embody cooperation, responsibility and community awareness. He noted that swift action, timely reporting and cooperation with specialist authorities are essential elements in improving emergency response efficiency.
He added that community awareness is a key pillar in supporting public safety systems and stressed that integrated efforts between institutions and individuals contribute to creating a safer and more stable environment for all.
He also said such humanitarian actions reflect the growing culture of prevention and safety awareness within society and reinforce the principle of shared responsibility in dealing with emergencies. He noted that the authority continues to implement awareness programmes aimed at improving community preparedness and strengthening safety and prevention concepts across different sectors of society.
He further stressed that positive cooperation with civil defence teams remains an important factor in controlling incidents quickly and minimising their impact.
Brigadier General Saeed Obaid Rashid Al Suwaidi praised the humanitarian actions of those honoured, saying informed individual initiatives directly contribute to enhancing community safety.
He added that such positive examples provide a model for rapid response and cooperation with specialist authorities during incidents and emergencies.
He stressed that the authority places significant emphasis on strengthening community partnerships, based on its belief that safety is a shared responsibility that requires collective cooperation.
