Sharjah24: Al Dhaid Cultural and Sports Club (ADCSC) held the closing ceremony of the 16th edition of Al Dhaid Club Award for the Holy Quran to honour the 138 winners. The Award is one of the Quranic awards that the Club is keen to organise during the holy month of Ramadan, in light of the Award’s great success since its inception, witnessing great turnout from the public.
The ceremony witnessed the participation of 284 participants, distributed in the Award’s nine categories.
The ceremony, which was held at Al-Dhaid Club, was attended by Sheikh Mohammed bin Ma'dad bin Howiden, as well as several dignitaries and community figures in the central region.
During the ceremony, the attendees lauded the wise directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, encouraging the young generation to read and memorise the Quran.
His Excellency Salem Mohammed bin Howiden, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Dhaid Cultural and Sports Club delivered a speech raising his warmest congratulations and blessings to the UAE leadership and the people on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, stressing that the award comes as a translation of the directives of the Ruler of Sharjah.
At the end of the ceremony, Sheikh Mohammed bin Muadhd bin Howiden, His Excellency Sultan bin Howiden, Sultan Matar bin Dalmook, Salem Mohammed bin Howiden, Humaid Abdullah Al-Khateri, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors, Khalifa Bin Dalmouk Al-Ketbi, Salem Saif Al-Jari, Harran Al-Jazii and a number of members of the Sharjah Consultative Council, honoured the winners.
