Sharjah 24: As part of its efforts to enhance community participation, the Al Thiqah Club for Handicapped, in cooperation with the Sharjah Blood Bank, launched the "Give Life" initiative to encourage its employees, members and their parents to donate blood.
The “Give Life” initiative is part of the club’s series of initiatives offered to promote the concept of community participation in order to achieve sustainable development in various fields, as blood donation plays a vital role in saving lives and helping patients in many emergency and disease cases.
Through this initiative, the club aims to raise awareness of the importance of blood donation and increase the number of donors, especially among club members, their families and employees.
In this context, Ahmed Salem Al Mazloum Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of Al Thiqah Club for Handicapped affirmed the commitment of the club to promote the values of community participation and deepen awareness of the social responsibilities of people with disabilities, encouraging all members of society to contribute to this noble initiative and to provide support for patients and those in need of blood.
Al Suwaidi added that this initiative reflects the club's urgent desire to contribute to community service for a sustainable healthy environment and to improve the quality of life of people in need of blood. He thanked the Sharjah Blood Bank for facilitating all procedures that led to the success of the initiative.
