SSSD wins best supporter of government procurement program 2025

Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Social Services Department won the 2025 Best Government Entity Supporting the Government Procurement Program award. This award acknowledges its efforts to support and empower national projects by members of the Sharjah SME (RUWAD).

The award was presented at the fourth annual RUWAD Forum.

The forum also highlighted the local government entities that provided the most support to the Government Procurement Program, based on contract value. The SSSD was among the recognized entities and received praise for having the highest number of contracts signed with RUWAD member projects.

Empowering entrepreneurial projects

Suleiman Al Naqbi, Director of the Sharjah Social Services Department, said that this recognition shows the Department's commitment to supporting the Sharjah government's efforts to boost the national economy and promote Emirati entrepreneurial projects. He added that the department is working to create more opportunities for cooperation with national projects and entrepreneurs.

The department continues expanding opportunities for cooperation with Emirati entrepreneurs, driven by its belief that supporting national talent and stimulating innovation is vital.

Fatima Abdulkarim, Director of the Financial Affairs Department at the SSSD, stated that this recognition highlights the effectiveness of the financial and procurement processes in the department. She mentioned that the department is eager to increase its support for national projects under the RUWAD initiative by offering fair competitive opportunities that foster the growth and sustainability of these projects.
