UoS’s Business Administration College Organises 2nd Business Day

Sharjah 24: As part of the University of Sharjah’s (UoS) initiatives to enhance cooperation and partnership with various private entities, the UoS’s College of Business Administration (CoBA) organised the CoBA 2nd Business Day for the college’s senior students and graduates. The event aimed at creating internship and job opportunities, and facilitating the entry of students into the labour market.
The event featured the participation of 12 esteemed companies from the industry, showcasing their services and job oppertunities available in different areas of business adminstration, connecting students to the business world. 

Prof. Ilhan Ozturk, Dean of the College of Business Administration at UoS, emphasised that one of the college’s strategic objectives is to increase the employability of the CoBA’s students, enabling them to gain hands-on experiences from prestegious local and international institutions, and enhancing their skills and knowledge in fields of accounting, finance and economics, management, and business administration. Prof. Ilhan highlighted that the CoBA annual business day was organised to offer students job opportunities, networking experiences, and insights into the business world, bridging the gap between academia and the business world, and fostering the business leaders of tomorrow.

During the event, Dr. Salima Hamouche, Assistant Professor of Management, CoBA, UoS, delivered a lecture titled “From University to Career: Skills and Strategies for Successfully Transitioning into the Job Market in the Digitalised Era”. CoBA Alumni shared their success stories in the field of entrepreneurship. Participating companies and speakers were awarded. 

Several local and international institutions and companies participated in the Business Day, including: KPMG, Mohamed Hilal Group, Standard Chartered Bank, Ernst & Young "EY", AlBaddad Capital, Al Ghanem Investment and Development, ARC Associates Auditing and Accounting Firm, BHM Capital, Al Batha Group, Aramex, Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales "ICAEW", and AlTamimi & Co.
