Sharjah24: Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Deputy Head of the Ruler's Office in Khorfakkan, attended a poetry reading featuring the works of poet Ali Al-Khwar on Thursday, as part of the Literary Program organized by the Department of Culture at the Khorfakkan Literary Council.

The Department of Culture in the Eastern Region organized a poetry event of the esteemed poet Ali Al-Khwar's works on Thursday, as part of its ongoing Literary Program held across various literary councils.

The event, held at the Khorfakkan Literary Council, was attended by Sheikh Haitham bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Rashid Al-Kindi, Chairman of the Suhaila Suburb Council, Mohammed Al-Suwaiji, Director of the Eastern Region at the Department of Culture, and a crowd of officials and local residents.

Ahmad Abdullah Al-Zaabi, Head of the Khorfakkan Literary Council, stated that the event is part of a series of poetry events organized by the department in various literary councils. He explained to Sharjah 24 that the session delved into the works of the national poet Ali Al-Khwar, showcasing a significant aspect of his journey in the world of poetry, where a diverse selection of his notable poems was recited.

Al-Zaabi added that on the sidelines of the session, the first issue of the department's electronic newsletter was launched, which includes the department's agenda and highlights the programs, events, and festivals organized by the department across the Eastern Region.
