Community engagement through festival competitions
In exclusive statements to Sharjah 24, Makhlouf explained that the festival includes several accompanying competitions such as Bride of the Festival, Princess of the Festival, Best Mask of the Festival, and Most Beautiful Car of the Festival. These competitions aim to enhance community involvement and add vibrancy to the festival.
Distinguished plays featured in the festival
A member of the organising committee indicated that a selection of the most distinguished theatrical performances was chosen for the programme. The school theatre section includes two plays: “The Dreams of Mice” and “A Promise of Loyalty.” The short play “Misunderstanding” will be presented, while the scout theatre will perform “The Road.” The children's theatre will present “The Kingdom of Elira,” and the public theatre will perform “First Encounter.”
Folk arts and cultural displays enrich the festival
Makhlouf added that the festival will also feature displays of folk arts, including Al-Ayyala, Al-Dan, and Al-Liwa, along with Egyptian art performances. These cultural displays enrich the festival atmosphere and reflect the diversity of the programme.
