The activities included 590 unique programmes and specialised workshops, implemented through its institutions: Sharjah Children, Sharjah Youth, Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah, and Sharjah Capability Development. Activities attracted more than 6,300 participants, both male and female, of various age groups, aged 6 and above, marking a milestone in achieving optimal investment in their promising energies, in a safe and stimulating environment.
The "Let’s Summer" programme's activities spanned a variety of disciplines, including science, technology, culture, life skills, arts, theatre, music, sports, and adventure. It also featured unique initiatives and inspiring community partnerships that combined learning, discovery, and fun.
These activities provided participants with a knowledge-rich environment and practical experiences, a unified umbrella for programs that unleash their talents, enhance their self-confidence, and provide them with a comprehensive set of skills and experiences that will remain embedded in their minds, providing them with a solid starting point for their educational and life journeys.
Jawahar bint Abdullah Al Qasimi, Director General of the Rubu' Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators, noted that the Foundation, through "Let’s Summer," has succeeded in formulating a renewed concept for the summer vacation. It has transformed the programme into an integrated laboratory for shaping leaders and refining talent. This is achieved through the rich creative experiences it offers, offering participants a new adventure of knowledge and discovery.
The programmes are also designed according to the highest international standards, embodying the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and his wife, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Family and Community Council, to nurture generations who are creative in all fields. These generations possess the tools for the future and are imbued with solid national values, enabling them to participate effectively in the national development process.
Jawahar bint Abdullah Al Qasimi added that this year's “Let’s Summer” activities embodied the community's and parents' confidence in the quality of the interactive programmes offered by the Rubu' Qarn Foundation, affirming its prominent pioneering role in developing the skills of children, adolescents, young adults, and women, expanding their horizons and enhancing their experiences.
This is evident in the remarkable turnout and engagement of participants in these programmes, which opened up diverse paths of experimentation and discovery for them. The summer was an exceptional opportunity for learning and fun simultaneously, and a space to strengthen a sense of belonging to the nation through field visits to tourist, cultural, historical, and entertainment landmarks, especially in Sharjah, the city of culture, arts, and literature, and a child-friendly city that nurtures generations capable of overcoming future challenges with awareness and wisdom.
The "Let’s Summer" programmes were distinguished by their ability to combine knowledge with enjoyment. Participants undertook practical experiences in advanced fields such as technological innovation, programming, robotics, fine arts, theatre, cinema, and music, creative writing, sports and physical activities, modern media, crafts and creative industries, leadership, and parliamentary empowerment.
These programmes also enhanced daily life skills and developed emotional and social intelligence. These experiences constituted a comprehensive journey of self-building, illuminating the participants' talents and instilling in them a passion for continuous learning. The experience was not limited to individual skills alone; it also carried at its core solid values such as teamwork, responsibility, and the spirit of initiative, in line with the Rubu' Qarn Foundation's strategic vision to build and empower informed and influential generations.
