Al Hamriyah Club hosts Arab Women Sports Tournament Committee

Sharjah 24: Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club received the delegation of the Supreme Committee for the Arab Women Sports Tournament, on Tuesday. Sharjah will host the eighth edition of the event from 2 to 12 February 2026. The visit aimed to review the club’s readiness to host the archery competitions as part of the Games.

Delegation leadership and members

His Excellency Humaid Al Shamsi, Chairman of the Club’s Board, welcomed the delegation, which was headed by Her Excellency Sheikha Hayat bint Abdulaziz Al Khalifa, Chair of the Supervision and Follow-up Committee. Its members included Her Excellency Hanan Al Mahmoud, Vice-Chair of the Supreme Organising Committee; Her Excellency Moza Al Shamsi, Games Director; Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Anzi, Secretary-General of the Union of Arab Olympic Committees; along with other members of the Supreme Committee.

Inspection of facilities

Following the official reception in the club’s council hall, the delegation toured the proposed venue for the archery competitions, namely the main stadium, as well as the club’s facilities and key services.

His Excellency Humaid Al Shamsi affirmed that Al Hamriyah Club is pleased to host the delegation of the Supreme Committee for the Arab Women Sports Tournament. He highlighted the club’s openness to fruitful and effective cooperation with various sporting events hosted by the smiling Emirate and wished the Supreme Committee success in organising this prominent Arab sporting event.
