Sharjah 24: Al Hamriyah Municipality has completed urgent field measures to address water accumulations following heavy rainfall caused by a low-pressure system affecting the country over the past two days. The initiative aims to ensure residents’ safety and maintain smooth traffic flow.

Emergency response and field operations

Immediately after the rainfall, the municipality deployed emergency and specialised technical teams to pump out water, clean roads, and reopen affected routes. Modern machinery, including water pumps, support tankers, and heavy cleaning vehicles, was used in a coordinated effort to provide a rapid and effective response.

Pre-planned measures for rainy conditions

The teams operated according to a comprehensive plan prepared in advance for the rainy season, addressing water accumulation challenges previously experienced in Al Hamriyah. His Excellency Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, Director of Al Hamriyah Municipality, confirmed that human and technical resources were fully prepared to handle the situation, in line with directives from the leadership to ensure rapid emergency response.

Continuous monitoring and community safety

Al Shamsi noted that the municipality maintained continuous field presence in vital areas, ensuring community safety, uninterrupted services, and the swift restoration of normal traffic flow. The municipality continues to monitor weather conditions closely, ready to intervene as needed.

Commitment to quality of life and infrastructure

These efforts are part of an integrated system aimed at enhancing the quality of life, improving infrastructure efficiency, and ensuring the sustainability of municipal services under all weather conditions.
