Sharjah Youth Basketball Championship kicks off December 27

Sharjah 24: The 6th Sharjah International Youth Basketball Championship, organised by the Sharjah Sports Council in cooperation with the JAM Sports Academy and Khorfakkan Cultural and Sports Club, will begin on Saturday, December 27th in Khorfakkan. The official opening ceremony will be held on Sunday.

Forty-three teams from 11 Arab and international countries will compete in five age categories for boys and girls at the Khorfakkan Cultural and Sports Club, Khorfakkan Women's Club, Khorfakkan Disabled Club, and Kalba Club. The championship is included in the Council's annual calendar due to its success and the benefits it provides to the emirate's teams and participating teams through international competition.

The organising committee has approved the tournament schedule. The following are the matches for the first day in each category:

Under 12 Boys:

All Stars (Lebanon) vs. Beirut, JAM (UAE) vs. Don Bosco (Lebanon), and Beirut Club vs. Khorfakkan Club.

Under 14 Boys:

Orthodox (Jordan) vs. Don Bosco (Lebanon), Number One (France) vs. Entura (Lebanon), Al Wahda (UAE) vs. Khorfakkan, All Stars (Saudi Arabia) vs. Beirut (Lebanon), Jam (UAE) vs. Don Bosco (Lebanon), Sharjah (UAE) vs. Seba (Switzerland), Al Hamriya (UAE) vs. Orthodox (Jordan), and Al Wahda vs. Entura (Lebanon).

Under 16 Boys:

ST (Philippines) vs. Hope Dream (India), TJ Seven (Philippines) vs. All Stars (Saudi Arabia), Number One (France) vs. Sharjah, Next Hoops (Spain) vs. Al Hamriya, Orthodox (Jordan) vs. Jam Sport (UAE), Dynamo (Russia) vs. Khorfakkan, Sharjah vs. Don Bosco (Lebanon), and Next Hoops (Spain) vs. Al Wahda.

Under 19 Boys:

6th of October (Egypt) vs. Next Hoops (Spain), Number One (France) vs. Hope Dreams (India), Jam Sport (UAE) vs. Sharjah, Khorfakkan vs. 6th of October (Egypt), and Hope Dreams (India) vs. Jam Sport (UAE).

Under 16 Girls:

Orthodox (Jordan) vs. Beirut (Lebanon), Jam Sport (UAE) vs. Sharjah, and Beirut vs. Hope Dreams (Spain).
