The consignment arrived in the city of Al Arish aboard a special aircraft, where the UAE humanitarian aid team supervised its receipt, storage and preparation in line with approved safety and sorting procedures, before it was transferred into the Strip to ensure it reached the targeted groups.
The aid includes internationally approved therapeutic and preventive products to treat malnutrition, most notably endorsed by UNICEF. These products comprise natural nutritional compounds enriched with essential vitamins, minerals and fatty acids.
The products were manufactured using ingredients such as peanuts, milk, sugars and fats, in accordance with precise standards to ensure the highest effectiveness in addressing malnutrition at its various levels.
The total shipment weighs approximately 30 tonnes of therapeutic and preventive products, allocated to support the most affected groups inside the Gaza Strip. The assistance is expected to benefit around 20,000 children and women, enhancing recovery prospects and reducing health risks associated with malnutrition.
This aid comes as part of the UAE’s commitment, alongside the Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi Charity and Humanitarian Foundation, to easing the suffering of the Palestinian people in Gaza and meeting the basic needs of the most vulnerable, within the ongoing humanitarian efforts of Operation Gallant Knight 3 to support Gaza through various forms of relief assistance.
