Nottingham Forest compounded the woes of hosts West Ham by overturning a deficit to snatch a last-gasp 2-1 win. West Ham appeared on course for their first victory in ten league matches—dating back to a 3-2 win over Burnley on November 8—after Brazilian defender Murillo inadvertently put the ball into his own net to give the hosts the lead in the 13th minute.
The visitors responded early in the second half as Argentine forward Nicolas Gonzalez equalised in the 55th minute. Forest then sealed the comeback in the 89th minute when Morgan Gibbs-White converted a penalty to secure all three points.
The win—Forest’s first after four consecutive defeats—lifted them to 21 points in 17th place. West Ham, meanwhile, remain on 14 points in 18th, having suffered their 13th loss of the season.
