Sharjah 24: Arsenal moved closer to clinching their first English Premier League title in 22 years after a 1-0 victory over Burnley in matchday 37.

Arsenal are now just one step away from winning their first English Premier League title in 22 years, since their unbeaten 2003-2004 season, after a 1-0 win over Burnley in matchday 37.

Third consecutive win

Arsenal owe their hard-fought victory, their third consecutive win in all competitions, to a goal from German midfielder Kai Havertz (37).

In their final home game of the season at the Emirates Stadium, the Gunners increased their points tally to 82, five points ahead of Manchester City, who play away to Bournemouth on Tuesday.

Bournemouth, currently sixth with 55 points, are battling for a Champions League spot next season, trailing seventh-placed Brighton by two points and fifth-placed Liverpool by four.

Arsenal could officially clinch the title if City slip up in their final match. Pep Guardiola's side will host fourth-placed Aston Villa, while Arsenal travel to face fifteenth-placed Crystal Palace.
