Khaled bin Mohamed visits Youth 4 Sustainability Hub at ADSW 2026

Sharjah 24 – WAM: His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, visited the Youth 4 Sustainability (Y4S) Hub, a Masdar global initiative, during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW) 2026 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi. The event runs until 15 January.

Focus on youth empowerment and sustainability leadership

During the visit, His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed met Y4S members and was briefed on key programmes and initiatives designed to develop youth skills and strengthen leadership in sustainability. The initiatives aim to empower young people to address climate and environmental challenges through innovative solutions locally and globally.

Discussions on innovation and integrated approaches

His Highness Sheikh Khaled engaged with Y4S organisers, commending their efforts in educating, training, and empowering youth to contribute to climate action. He highlighted the importance of an integrated approach to youth empowerment, leveraging innovations, AI, and advanced technologies to create long-term environmental and energy sector impact.

The visit included Dr Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Chairman of Masdar; Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport – Abu Dhabi; Dr Abdulla Humaid Al Jarwan, Chairman of the Department of Energy – Abu Dhabi; and Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary-General of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.

Y4S pavilion highlights

The Y4S Pavilion features panel discussions, showcases youth-led projects, promotes collaboration with young talents and sustainability entrepreneurs, and attracts government officials, business leaders, and sustainability experts, reinforcing its role in global climate dialogue, knowledge exchange, and strategic partnerships.
