The mobile hospital is equipped with advanced field units for diagnosis, treatment, and surgery, enabling the delivery of specialised cardiac services to areas far from major cities. It uses the latest medical technologies, including artificial intelligence, to provide innovative and efficient care.
The project is being implemented in cooperation with Egypt’s Ministry of Health, Emirati medical teams, Dar Al Ber Society, and Sharjah Charity International, under the supervision of a joint Egyptian-Emirati team of interventional cardiac surgeons.
Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Egypt’s Deputy Prime Minister for Human Development and Minister of Health and Population, said the initiative reflects the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries and aims to set new regional benchmarks in cardiac care through innovation and world-class services.
Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, said the programme focuses on early diagnosis, advanced treatment methods, and capacity-building for medical professionals, with support from General Electric and charitable partners.
Dr Adel Al Shamry Al Ajmi, CEO of the Zayed Giving Initiative and Director-General of the National Training (Jaheziya) Programme, said the hospital’s launch underscores strong health cooperation between Egypt and the UAE and includes specialised training to enhance emergency cardiac care in line with international standards.
