Sharjah 24 – WAM: The United Arab Emirates Pavilion will open tomorrow at the Egypt Defence Expo (EDEX) 2025, featuring seven national companies showcasing the latest defence and security solutions. The pavilion will also promote defence events to an international audience of industry leaders, decision-makers, and military personnel.

Organisers and support

The UAE Pavilion is supported by the Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement and the UAE Ministry of Defence, and organised by ADNEC Group. The Council ensures defence acquisition programmes align with national capability requirements, value-for-money principles, and industrial localisation objectives. It also develops a resilient defence-industrial base, facilitates domestic manufacturing, attracts strategic foreign investment, and integrates UAE entities into global OEM value chains.

Tawazun’s role in defence development

Tawazun shapes the regulatory environment by establishing sector-specific licensing, standards, testing, conformity frameworks, and compliance systems. The Council oversees defence-specialised industrial zones and infrastructure for high-compliance manufacturing. It also activates national research, development, and innovation programs supporting dual-use technology and collaboration across government, industry, and academia.

About EDEX 2025

The fourth edition of EDEX, held from 1–4 December 2025 under the patronage of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, provides UAE national companies an opportunity to strengthen international ties, expand market reach, and form strategic partnerships at one of the largest defence events in the Middle East and North Africa.

Participating UAE companies

Leading defence entities at the Pavilion include Tawazun Council for Defence Enablement, EDGE Group, Calidus, GAL, and AMMROC. Participating companies will showcase their latest solutions, network with global audiences, and expand their market presence. Al Jundi Magazine, the official journal of the UAE Armed Forces, and ADNEC Group are also participating.

Key exhibitors and innovations

EDGE Group will display solutions across five sectors: Precision Guided Munitions, Naval Platforms, Autonomous Air Platforms, Weapons & Munitions, and Secure Communications. Calidus Holding Group will showcase its defence products developed entirely in the UAE, including Aerospace, Land Systems, and Missiles & Defence Systems, with highlights like the MATV armoured combat support vehicle paired with the AlHeda missile launch platform.

ADNEC Group’s showcase

ADNEC Group will present upcoming editions of the Unmanned Systems Exhibitions and Conference (UMEX & SimTEX), the International Exhibition for National Security and Resilience (ISNR), and the 2027 editions of IDEX and NAVDEX.

Pavilion objectives

The UAE Pavilion aims to highlight technological innovation and collaborative advancement in the defence sector. Visitors will gain insights into technical specifications, real-world applications, operational advantages, and strategic thinking behind the displayed solutions.

Visitor experience

Military personnel, decision-makers, and delegations are invited to explore the UAE Pavilion in Hall 3 of the Egypt International Exhibition Centre, Cairo.
