Eight Arab teams compete in table tennis at AWST 2026

Sharjah24: The table tennis competitions of the eighth Arab Women Sports Tournament (AWST) 2026 will begin on Monday, 9 February, at Al Qarayen Children’s Centre, as part of the region’s largest multi-sport event dedicated to women’s sport. Organised by Sharjah Women’s Sports, the tournament runs from 2 to 12 February across venues in the Emirate of Sharjah.

Eight teams representing eight Arab countries will compete in the table tennis tournament, showcasing one of the fastest and most technically demanding disciplines. Participating teams include Sharjah Women’s Sports Club (UAE), Al Fatat Sports Club (Kuwait), Al Qadisiyah Club (Saudi Arabia), Al-Ittihad Women’s Club (Libya), Petrojet Sports Club (Egypt), Al Nadwa Al Qamatiyah Club (Lebanon), Palestine Club (Palestine), and Amal Tiznit Table Tennis Club (Morocco).

Venues fully prepared

Official matches and training sessions will be held at Al Qarayen Children’s Centre, with team training at the Sharjah Women’s Olympic Centre. All venues have confirmed full technical and operational readiness to host delegations, athletes and spectators.

Supporting women’s sport
