Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Department of Public Works (SDPW) has announced the winners of the eighth cycle of the institutional excellence award “Irtaqi”, an initiative aimed at recognising outstanding employees and promoting a culture of high performance across the department. The results reflect the diversity of specialisations and quality of work across various divisions.

Supervisory and administrative achievements

In the supervisory category, Amal Al Ali from the Corporate Contact Centre received the award for her role in improving internal communication mechanisms and streamlining public communication channels. Meanwhile, Fatima Al Yasi, also from the Corporate Contact Centre, won the secretarial excellence award in recognition of her precision and efficiency in managing administrative tasks and supporting daily operations.

Technical excellence recognised

Among the technical team, Engineer Noor Al Hammadi from the IT Department secured first place for her initiatives in developing technological solutions and supporting the digital infrastructure. Engineer Khadija Tamrouk from the Branches Department took second place, and Engineer Rami Al Soudi from the Building Projects Department earned third, reflecting the technical teams’ commitment to professional standards and innovation. Shahd Al Ali from the Strategic Planning and Quality Centre was honoured with the Outstanding New Employee award for her early contributions, adaptability, and initiative since joining the team.

Encouraging a culture of innovation

Engineer Hind Nasser, Director of the Strategic Planning and Quality Centre, emphasised that the awards are part of ongoing efforts to foster a motivating work environment that encourages excellence and innovation. She praised the winners’ contributions to improving service quality and institutional efficiency and called for sharing best practices across divisions.

The initiative aligns with the department’s vision of “sustainable leadership in urban development”, aiming to build an institutional culture based on recognition, motivation, teamwork, and professional responsibility, with best wishes to the winners for continued success in serving the community and achieving local development goals.
