Sharjah 24: Her Excellency Engineer Jamila Al Shamsi, Member of the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC), stated that the Council discussed on Monday its draft recommendations regarding the policies of the Sharjah Department of Public Works (SDPW) and the Sharjah Department of Human Resources (SDHR), during its ninth session of the third regular term of the eleventh legislative chapter.

Her Excellency Engineer Jamila Al Shamsi, Member of the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC), explained that the Council discussed its recommendations concerning two important departments in the Emirate of Sharjah: the first relates to people and their stability, namely SDHR, while the second concerns projects continuing at an accelerated pace in the Emirate, namely SDPW.

Al Shamsi added, in statements to "Sharjah 24," that the Council discussed the integrated coordination between the SDPW and the specialised authorities concerned with project implementation, starting from the planning, design, and execution phases, to ensuring the quality of completion, with a focus on the alignment of authorities’ work with the Emirate’s comprehensive plan, in order to achieve governmental spending efficiency and project sustainability.

She pointed out that the discussion of the Council’s recommendations concerning the SDHR covered localisation and employment standards, employee promotions, and clear career pathways, as job stability achieves social stability—a point consistently emphasised by the SCC.
