The conference, held on Monday at the club headquarters, began with a speech by Salem bin Jarash, Chairman of the Organising Committee, who welcomed the attendees. He emphasised that the gathering is an extension of the club's community role in serving the residents and institutions of the Central Region. He added that it reflects the club's commitment to providing a comprehensive Ramadan programme that combines spiritual values, cultural activities, and sporting events, thus strengthening community bonds during the holy month.
For his part, Abdulrahman Muhair Al Ketbi, Vice Chairman of the Organising Committee and Chairma of the Media and Corporate Communications Committee, reviewed the details of the Forum's programmes. He explained that the events include the Ramadan Holy Quran Competition, the Ramadan Tent in its fourth season, and the "Mleiha Reads" dialogue sessions, coinciding with Month of Reading, in addition to a number of community initiatives and accompanying events targeting various segments of society.
On the sports side, Captain Bader Al Zarouni, the tournament director, presented an explanation of the format of the Mleiha Ramadan Football Tournament for Central Region institutions. He explained that the tournament will be held with the participation of eight institutions divided into two groups, with the top two teams from each group qualifying for the semi-finals, culminating in the final match to determine the champion of the fourth edition.
Al Zarouni also clarified that the matches will be officiated by certified referees, and that a medical team and an ambulance will be available throughout the tournament, ensuring the highest standards of organisation and safety. The conference concluded with the tournament draw and the official approval of the match schedule, amidst an atmosphere of enthusiasm and interaction among team representatives, signaling the start of a tournament expected to reflect the spirit of cooperation and fair competition among institutions in the central region during the holy month.
