Mleiha Cultural and Sports Club concluded the fourth edition of its Ramadan football championship for Central Region institutions, on Sunday, held under the umbrella of the Mleiha Ramadan Forum 2026.
The final day featured a tense battle for first place between the teams of Mleiha Municipality and Mleiha Youth. Ultimately, Mleiha Youth secured the top spot, with strong audience support and enthusiastic participation. Mleiha Municipality finished in second place.
Badr Al Zarouni, Director of the fourth Mleiha Ramadan Football Championship for Central Region institutions, emphasised that organising the championship for the fourth consecutive year reflects the club’s commitment to strengthening ties between regional institutions and providing a sporting environment that brings employees and youth together in the spirit of Ramadan.
Al Zarouni added in statements to “Sharjah 24” that this year’s forum offered a comprehensive programme of activities, including a Quran competition, a “Sha’biyat” cultural contest, a “Laser Run” championship, traditional heritage sessions featuring Emirati customs, and Ramadan gatherings with senior citizens.
He concluded by thanking all participating government entities and praising the club’s administrative and technical teams for their contributions in ensuring the forum’s success and reflecting the prestige of Mleiha Club.
During the closing ceremony, Mleiha Youth was awarded the championship trophy for the Central Region institutions football championship, while Mleiha Municipality took second place.
