Suhoor is served from 11:00 PM to 1:00 AM, offering a quiet, reflective night beneath clear skies. At Al Heera Beach, the mood shifts to the gentle energy of the waterfront, where Ramadan nights unfold to the sound of live music from 10:00 PM to 12:30 AM. Performances featuring the oud, violin, harp, qanoon, and cello create a soothing backdrop as visitors stroll along the promenade or settle into outdoor seating overlooking the sea. For families, the experience extends beyond music. Interactive workshops, including wooden lantern colouring, Ramadan crafts, and tasbih making, offer children creative ways to engage with the traditions of the Holy Month, turning evenings into shared moments of learning and play. As the night progresses, cafés and restaurants fill with visitors gathering for Suhoor and late-night refreshments, while children cycle, play, and explore the open spaces. Stretching across a 3.5-kilometre shoreline, Al Heera Beach naturally becomes a place where evenings flow effortlessly from Iftar to late night, bringing together leisure, culture, and community in one setting.
Further along the coast, Khorfakkan Beach offers a quieter, more contemplative setting for Ramadan evenings. Here, traditional live music performances run from 10:00 PM to 12:30 AM, complementing the soft sounds of the sea to create an atmosphere that feels both peaceful and uplifting. With the Hajar Mountains silhouetted in the distance and the promenade gently illuminated, the beach becomes a favourite spot for evening walks, family picnics, and relaxed gatherings. Children play in open areas while families settle into cafés and waterfront seating, often staying late into the night to enjoy the calm and the views.
Al Noor Island offers a tranquil Ramadan experience with Iftar by the Bay daily, including dining, a self-guided walk, Butterfly House access (until 6:00pm), and Sky Watch on select evenings. Guests can dine by the water then observe stars amid gardens and art. The package costs AED 180 for adults and AED 95 for children (3-12). The island also invites visitors to unwind on illuminated walkways, shaded seating, and quiet corners, enjoying the serene environment, cooler air, and lagoon’s gentle rhythm. It combines nature, art, and tranquility for a restorative outing.
Heart of Sharjah this month takes on a nostalgic charm with a family-focused cultural activation rooted in tradition, play, and togetherness. The experience features a Ramadan Majlis with Arabic seating and Emirati hospitality, creating a calm, communal space for gatherings after sunset. Interactive elements enliven the area: the Grand Kairam, a life-size reinterpretation of the traditional carrom game, introduces a playful rhythm, while younger visitors enjoy the Ramadan Playscape with swings, slides, and soft-play elements for children. Lantern-lit pathways, crescent installations, calligraphic signage, and decorative lighting guide visitors through restored buildings, cafés, and gathering spots during Heritage Nights. Open-air seating, tea, desserts, and conversations encourage lingering, amid spaces reflecting Sharjah’s cultural memory and shared traditions.
At Al Majaz Waterfront and Al Qasba, Ramadan evenings become lively with seasonal décor, lighting, and pop-up experiences. The Waterfront’s outdoor winter market and festive lights overlook Khalid Lagoon, where visitors enjoy cafés, dessert kiosks, and open seating. The Sharjah Musical Fountain and broad promenades offer space for families to stroll and relax after taraweeh. Nearby, Al Qasba features a canal glowing with warm lights, outdoor pop-ups, and open-air dining, encouraging lingering. Boat rides add reflection, while cafés and cultural venues stay lively into the night.
Families can also enjoy peaceful cruises with Sharjah Boats, soaking in the cool breeze and creating memories along the waterfront. Throughout Sharjah, Ramadan nights are crafted with care by Shurooq, inviting communities to share the season’s delights calmly and comfortably amid beauty and light.
