Shurooq opens Masrah Al Qasba’s 2026 theatre season on Eid AlAdha

Sharjah 24: This Eid Al Adha, Masrah Al Qasba will open its 2026 live family theatre season with a year-long programme that brings beloved fairytales from page to stage. Running through December at Al Qasba, one of Sharjah’s most vibrant family destinations developed by the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), the season will feature four stage productions designed to captivate children and parents alike.

Magic Phil to thrill fans during Eid Al Adha

The 2026 season begins in the Eid Al Adha break with Magic Phil: Staying Silly at Sea, running from 27 - 30 May in English. Magic tricks and playful mischief await on a journey across imaginary seas. Magic Phil is known for his interactive engagement with the audience, so expect to be onboarded with his antics. Tickets for this show can be purchased through the Platinum website.

Classic characters take centre stage this season

Following the summer break, families will be treated to a twist on the beloved children’s tale Goldilocks and the Three Bears, reimagined in Goldilocks & Magic Phil’s Back to School. Blending classic storytelling with Magic Phil’s signature humour and illusions, the show promises a playful adventure.

Autumn will bring one of the most treasured fairytales of all time to the stage with Aladdin. Lively performances will present Aladdin as he discovers a mysterious lamp, befriends the Genie and Princess Jasmine while outwitting the sorcerer Jafar. Expect high energy shows and Arabian-themed sets featuring the youths’ adventures.

The theatrical season will conclude in December with the popular classic The Wizard of Oz, inviting families to follow Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion along the yellow brick road in a journey about friendship and courage.

Full schedule of all shows

The Magic Phil: Staying Silly at Sea show will run from 27 – 30 May, with two performances daily at 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Tickets for this show are priced at AED 55, and early booking is recommended as seats are limited.

Goldilocks & Magic Phil’s Back to School will take place 27 – 30 August, with a 3:00 PM show and 6:00 PM show each day. The price is AED 49 per ticket.

Aladdin is scheduled to be held from 1 – 4 October, with daily performances at 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM. Ticket prices have been set at AED 49.

Wizard of Oz will welcome the audience from 4 – 6 December, with a show at 3:00 PM and another at 6:00 PM every day. Tickets are priced at AED 49.
