Al Qasba in Ramadan: Lively destination for families

Sharjah24: Khalid Al Ali, the Director of Al Majaz Waterfront and Al Qasba, mentioned that families visit the area to enjoy the evening outdoors in a peaceful atmosphere. As night approaches, people gather on the walking paths overlooking Khalid Lagoon and Al Qasba Canal. Decorative lighting and seasonal displays create a festive ambiance that aligns with the spirit of Ramadan.

Al Qasba becomes one of Sharjah's most lively family destinations during the holy month of Ramadan, attracting large crowds of visitors looking for open spaces where leisure walks, diverse dining choices, and a variety of activities converge.

Al Ali stated that the Sharjah Boat Experience offers scheduled cruises along the waterfront. This provides visitors with a different perspective of the city and allows them to view the lagoon from afar in the tranquillity of the evening.

He also mentioned that these kinds of events demonstrate Sharjah's aim of merging the past with the present, strengthening its position as a cultural and tourist destination. In this context, the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) plays a vital role in fostering this momentum by developing and managing key landmarks throughout the emirate, leveraging its diverse landscapes — from the sea and heritage sites to the desert — to create unique Ramadan experiences that bring families together in spaces that reflect the emirate’s identity and values.
