Sharjah24-WAM: The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has launched a nationwide campaign to distribute Iftar meals and Ramadan food supplies to workers across the UAE as part of its social and humanitarian initiatives to enhance workers’ wellbeing during the Holy Month.

Launched under the slogan “Ramadan Brings Us Together with Our Workers,” the campaign is implemented in partnership with the Emirates Red Crescent, Beit Al Khair Society, UAE Food Bank, and Al Ansari Exchange.

Strengthening labour protection and wellbeing

Dalal Al Shehhi, Acting Assistant Under-Secretary for Labour Protection at MoHRE, said the annual Ramadan initiatives demonstrate the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening labour protection and fostering a stable, supportive work environment.

She added that the campaign embodies the UAE’s values of compassion, generosity, and social cohesion, noting that engaging workers in national and community events reinforces their sense of belonging and recognises their contribution to the country’s development. She also commended campaign partners for demonstrating strong social responsibility and public-private collaboration.

Ramadan tents and daily distributions

As part of the campaign, three Ramadan tents will be set up across the UAE to host collective Iftar gatherings in coordination with partner organisations, providing workers with a welcoming, spiritual environment.

The Ministry is also working with community partners to distribute Iftar meals directly at workplaces and in accommodation, ensuring support reaches beneficiaries wherever they are. The initiative will continue throughout Ramadan, with daily meal distributions and thousands of food parcels delivered to workers across multiple locations.

The campaign reflects the UAE’s enduring commitment to workers’ welfare and reinforces the values of solidarity and compassion that define Emirati society.
