Sharjah 24 – WAM: The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) has affirmed that the UAE labour market remains stable, with uninterrupted business operations despite regional developments. The Ministry said this reflects the resilience, diversity, and sustainability of the UAE economy and its ability to maintain balance under all circumstances.

Strong government–private sector partnership

MoHRE said these outcomes highlight the effectiveness of cooperation between the government and private sectors in achieving sustainable development. It added that business continuity is supported by a modern legislative framework and advanced digital infrastructure that enables flexible working arrangements and operational efficiency across industries.

Wage Protection System ensures timely payments

The Ministry noted that labour market stability is reflected in data from the Wage Protection System (WPS), which shows that private sector companies continue to pay workers’ wages on time. The system, which covers around 99% of private sector employees, is also being closely monitored in coordination with the UAE Central Bank to ensure ongoing compliance.

High compliance and sustained economic confidence

MoHRE said compliance levels among establishments remain strong across economic sectors, reflecting confidence in the UAE’s economic growth and government policies that support business continuity. It added that compliance rates have shown no significant change despite current regional developments.

Strong operational performance indicators

The Ministry reported continued strong performance across services, including around 2.3 million customer transactions completed in March and approximately 7 million transactions in the first quarter of 2026. It also noted high engagement levels through its communication channels, with over 4 million call centre interactions and 1.5 million legal consultations provided in 22 languages.

Flexible work systems support continuity

MoHRE said regional developments have not affected private sector job stability, noting that flexible work policies, including remote and hybrid arrangements, allow businesses to maintain operations effectively. It added that most companies continue normal on-site operations, while others have adopted flexible models based on business needs.

UAE private sector remains resilient

The Ministry praised the strong partnership between the public and private sectors, saying it supports stable work environments, job creation, and sustainable economic growth. UAE companies also reaffirmed their commitment to protecting jobs and ensuring salary stability, highlighting continued confidence in the resilience of the national economy.
