Sharjah24-WAM: The Ministry of Defence announced that the UAE’s air defence systems successfully intercepted a new wave of Iranian missiles launched towards the country, confirming that the threat was handled with high efficiency and that no damage was reported.

The Ministry affirmed that it remains in a high state of readiness and full preparedness to address any threats, taking all necessary measures to respond decisively to attempts to undermine the country’s security and stability. It stressed that the safety of citizens, residents, and visitors remains an absolute and non-negotiable priority.

Debris reported in Abu Dhabi areas

The Ministry stated that debris from the intercepted missiles fell across several areas of Abu Dhabi, including Saadiyat Island, The St. Regis Abu Dhabi, Khalifa City, Bani Yas, Mohammed Bin Zayed City, and Al Falah, confirming that no injuries were reported in these locations.

The Ministry described the targeting as a blatant violation of national sovereignty and international law, reiterating that the UAE reserves the right to take all necessary measures to protect its territory and citizens and to preserve its sovereignty, security, and stability.

The public was urged to rely exclusively on official sources for information and to avoid spreading rumours or unverified reports.
