President of Ecuador honours AD CP with National Order of Merit

Sharjah24 - WAM: Daniel Noboa, President of the Republic of Ecuador, has awarded His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, the National Order of Merit in the Grade of Grand Collar, during an official ceremony held at Carondelet Palace in Quito.

Honour conferred in recognition of bilateral cooperation

The decoration was awarded in recognition of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s efforts to strengthen the bonds of friendship and enhance cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Ecuador.

Commitment to expanding UAE–Ecuador relations

His Highness reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to advancing bilateral cooperation in line with the shared vision of both countries’ leadership and the aspirations of their peoples. This commitment is guided by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Excellency Daniel Noboa, President of the Republic of Ecuador.

Ecuadorian President highlights strategic partnership

President Daniel Noboa stated that the honour recognises His Highness’ contributions to the growing strategic partnership between Ecuador and the UAE, particularly in key priority sectors supporting national development. He emphasised both nations’ determination to strengthen economic, trade, and investment cooperation and to elevate bilateral relations to broader horizons.

Ecuador’s highest civilian honour

The National Order of Merit in the grade of Grand Collar is Ecuador’s highest civilian distinction, awarded to heads of state, government leaders, and senior officials. It recognises exceptional contributions to strengthening friendship, partnership, and strategic cooperation with Ecuador in areas serving mutual interests and shared objectives.
