SCI distributes one million iftar meals in Sharjah during Ramadan

Sharjah 24: Youssef Ahmed Al Hammadi, Head of the Evaluation and Follow-up Department at the Sharjah Charity International (SCI), revealed that the association is continuing its Iftar project at various locations across the Emirate of Sharjah during the holy month of Ramadan. The initiative operates through 129 distribution points, providing more than 30,000 meals daily, including 400 meals at the Muweileh site. The association aims to distribute around one million Iftar meals throughout Ramadan.

In an exclusive statement to “Sharjah 24,” Al Hammadi explained that the Iftar meal includes rice, dates, milk, water, and fruit, offering a complete meal for those breaking their fast at sunset. The initiative aims to support fasting individuals and promote values of solidarity and compassion within the community.

Annual Initiative promotes community solidarity

Al Hammadi emphasised that the Iftar project is one of the association’s key annual Ramadan initiatives, implemented in cooperation with supporters and benefactors. The programme helps deliver Iftar meals to as many fasting individuals as possible across the emirate, reflecting the spirit of generosity and solidarity that characterises Emirati society during the holy month.
