Sharjah 24: Guided by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of Sharjah Family and Community Council, Nahla Al Saadi, the Deputy Director of Child Safety, shared that the department is dedicated to raising awareness and improving knowledge about child protection, aiming to empower parents, children, teenagers, and professionals in protecting young people by helping them gain skills and knowledge needed to keep children safe.

Al Saadi, during her statements to “Sharjah 24,” stressed that ensuring child safety involves the community. Each person has a role to play in protecting children's emotional and physical health. She highlighted “Kanaf”, which serves as a safe place for children who have experienced physical abuse. "We offer legal, psychological, and social support in a welcoming environment designed for children," she stated.

She explained that the center was created following an international model, which helps reduce the number of visits a child needs to make, upholds their dignity, and allows for close cooperation with other organizations that focus on child welfare. This ensures that children receive prompt protection and care.
