He confirmed that the market has implemented a comprehensive and sustainable operational plan in coordination with its strategic partners — Sharjah Police, Sharjah Municipality, and SANED Facility Management Services — to ensure smooth operations and provide the highest level of services to the public.
Speaking to Sharjah 24, Al Shamsi stated that the market has completed preparations to accommodate the increasing number of sacrificial animals during Eid Al Adha through close coordination with its strategic partners.
He explained that the market has focused on enhancing customer experience and ensuring comfort from the moment visitors enter the market until they receive their sacrificial animals, with emphasis on organising entry and exit movement, reducing waiting times, and speeding up transactions and requests.
The Director of Sharjah City Markets noted that the market provided several organisational and technical measures to ensure efficient operations during Eid, including a smart order-tracking system and crowd management through designated pathways for workers to maintain order, facilitate internal movement, and reduce congestion.
Additional measures include a fully equipped waiting tent and increased operational capacity through doubling the number of butchers, cleaning staff, supervisors, and inspectors throughout the Eid period to ensure uninterrupted services and handle high demand. The market has also intensified health and environmental monitoring while maintaining the highest international standards to ensure the safety of sacrificial animals and the working environment.
